Having Fun with Vibe Coding: Cat-Ching
I have been playing with Vibe Coding for some time and to have some fun I have built this I-Ching Divination App to cast divination based on the Book of Changes, an ancient Chinese classic used both as a philosophical text and as a divination manual. Click on a Cat image to try Cat-Ching in action.
What is I Ching
It originated as a divination guide in the Western Zhou period (roughly 1000–750 BCE) and later became one of the core Chinese classics.
Over time it attracted extensive commentaries (the “Ten Wings”) and came to express a cosmology based on change, yin–yang, and the dynamic patterns of nature and human life.
To have some fun I created a persona of Cat-Ching - cute but wise cat that help user understand the reading.
How I did it
I have used Manus AI to build the app. You can find a framework for AI Prompts here.
I have also simplified things for myself using Manus Built-In Website Builder, it can help you host app, creates APIs connection and etc. You can download all the technical files though and deploy the app. I host my website on Squarespace, it’s not suitable to host such a complex app, so I just went with Manus solution. I will, however, consider hosting apps on more professional platform like Railway in the future.
Also, Manus had Google’s Nano-Banana integrated, and I worked with it to develop pictures of Cat Ching.
Below are the documents have been created based on my prompts.
